Markis is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology where she earned her degree in fashion and commercial photography. Prior to moving to the Asheville area, Markis traveled the world as a photojournalist for an international non-profit organization and also worked as a photographer and makeup artist in New York City. She now happily calls the Blue Ridge Mountains home, and works to capture beauty and spontaneity in all of her photos and videos.
